First in best dressed is the only rule for the latest Qantas offer. The airline is giving double points for all eligible flights booked between now and 11.59pm April 5th. This offer includes all cabin fare types and all destinations across the network.
Not a Qantas Frequent Flyer member? They seem to have that covered too – you can sign up for free at the moment by clicking here.
How to earn the double points
- Register by clicking this link here. It’s as simple as logging in and clicking one button!
- Book any flight before 5th of April 2016, for travel between 29 march 2016 and 17 march 2017
- Don’t forget to include your Frequent Flyer number when booking!
- Feel free to make multiple bookings – all are included for the double points!
Examples of points to be earned:
BNE > Sydney in economy = 2400 points
BNE > Tokyo in economy = 10,400 points
SYD > Los Angeles in business = 27,000 points
SYD > Singapore in economy = 10,400 points
MEL > Dubai in economy = 18,000 points (and a whopping 90 status credits!)
With double points applied to a return flight journey, you will surely stack up some points for your next upgrade. Click here to use the double points calculator to see how many points you could earn.
This offer is especially favoured towards business class travellers, who have the opportunity to earn large amounts of points just by flying in the higher classes.
For example: the Sydney to LA flight will earn you 54,000 points flying business, add up the ticket cost of an average $15,600 return (business saver fare) and run that through a selected Amex credit card (Qantas Ultimate Card) that gives you 2 points per $1 spent on Airlines and you could receive over 85,000 points in one booking! To put that in perspective, a business class one way from BNE/SYD to Singapore is only 60,000 points to redeem and over $3500 of value
Summing up, you have a little bit of time to ponder over your travel plans and make the booking. I recommend using the points calculator to check how many you can earn and make sure you understand that you won’t earn the bonus on codeshare flights, excluding American Airlines SYD -> LAX. If you were planning a holiday, then this is a great opportunity to book!
