Since 1984 Singapore Airlines has been one of the longest and largest serving carriers to Brisbane Airport. Today, Brisbane Airport Corporation welcomed the news that Singapore Air will boost flights between Singapore and Brisbane to four times daily.
This news brings another vote of confidence in the sunshine state of Queensland. The increase equates to an additional 2168 seats per week, connecting the state to the commercial Asia hub Changi Airport.
It is the only airline partner at Brisbane Airport now offering four return flights to a single international destination every day of the week.
Julieanne Alroe, CEO and Managing Director of Brisbane Airport Corporation said it is a significant commitment by any airline to channel valuable resources to one particular destination…
“Today’s announcement is a strong a vote of confidence by Singapore Airlines in Queensland and the popularity of our city and state that will further boost tourism, investment and trade opportunities.”
“It is a real luxury for travellers to have so much choice with four flights per day offering inter and intra state travellers an abundance of convenient connections between Brisbane and Singapore and beyond via Singapore Airlines’ extensive network,” Ms Alroe said.
